The vertically designed S5V’s 12” woofer utilizes ADAM Audio’s new ELE™ and SMA™ technologies, ensuring a dynamic and uncompromising, quality of bass reproduction free from coloration, that goes down to 25 Hz.
The 4” DCH Midrange Driver is responsible for the reproduction of the mid-range information with extreme precision. Its unique hybrid dome/cone construction originates from ADAM Audio’s development department, and works in tandem with the S-ART folded-ribbon tweeter, providing unprecedented transparency and detailed stereo resolution.
The wide-ranging dispersion of the treble and mid drivers is optimized by ADAM Audio’s MPS and HPS (mid-range and high-frequency propagation system) waveguides, such that multiple people can be accommodated in the same sweet spot; a common necessity for larger control rooms. A trio of extremely powerful PWM power amplifiers delivers 700 watts to the woofer, 300 watts to the DCH mid, and 100 watts to the S-ART treble drivers. The result of which means that a pair of S5V speakers produces up to 128 dB of maximum sound pressure. S5V MAIN-MONITOR
The S Series’ custom-designed DSP optimizes the loudspeaker crossovers to create linear responses for the entire range.
Two parametric shelving filters (for bass and treble) and six fully parametric EQs can be individually adapted to the given room conditions, or to your own listening tastes. In addition, the DSP also handles the limiter-based high-frequency driver protection, processes the signals from the AES3 digital inputs and various future expansion options. The S Control Remote software can be used to adjust parameters and control functions, as can the installation of software updates via USB port.
